The Heritage S423 borrows its manners from the mid-century pilot's chronographs: a blue sunray dial, large Arabic numerals, two registers, a tachymeter scale printed inside the crystal, and a bi-directional blue bezel carrying a lume diamond at twelve.
The movement is the point. The Seagull ST19 is a hand-wound column-wheel chronograph with 29 jewels, and on this watch you can watch it work through the sapphire caseback. Column-wheel switching is the honest architecture for a chronograph, and at this price it is the reason to choose this one.
It ships with the blue suede strap fitted and several additional straps from the original lot, so the character can change without the watch doing anything but keep time.
