A reason to look again.
Some watches earn their place by being serious. This one earns it by being fun. Zodiac built the Sea Dragon as a diver, and this is the dual-time version: a black coin-edge bezel, a city ring around the rehaut, and a dial the colour of a tangerine left in the sun.
It is a large watch, and it makes no apology for it. The case is broad at roughly 50mm, the bezel is finely milled, and the whole thing reads like a piece designed in the era when a wristwatch was meant to be noticed. Wear it travelling and the second time zone earns its keep; wear it on a Saturday and it does nothing but look right.
It arrived the best way a watch of this age can: one family from new and a recent service. Supplied on a NATO strap, with the original tan Zodiac-stamped strap also included. The original strap has split at the lug end and will need replacing; at sale we will either deduct the cost of a replacement strap or supply the watch on the NATO, buyer's choice.
